This year, Porseleinberg is allocating fewer than 80 bottles to our stores. This allocation is strictly limited and represents our entire availability for the year.
The wines are now available to pre-order, on a first come first serve basis.
South Africa's Best Performing Red Wine
Tim Atkin MW has rated it 98 or better every vintage since 2018, and named the 2023 his Red Wine of the Year.
Porseleinberg is one of South Africa’s most distinctive Syrahs, made from a remote, windswept site on the schist slopes of the Swartland. Only one wine is produced from the farm, in very limited quantities.

One farm. One wine.
Blue schist, shallow soil, dry summers. The vines work hard for very little fruit, and that is where the concentration comes from.
Wild ferment in concrete, whole bunches, then aged in large old oak foudres and concrete.
That vintage Callie changed how he handles the skins during ferment. Every vintage since has scored 98 or better.
He also ranks Porseleinberg a First Growth, his top tier of South African estates, alongside Sadie Family, Kanonkop and Mullineux.
